The ICAS (Intelligent Controlled Airflow System) Quiet Office cooling rackmount cabinet combines extreme noise reduction and high thermal capacity.
Hot air emitting from the back of the cabinet is captured and ducted away to dissipate elsewhere. This warm exhaust air can even be utilised in winter to help reduce heating bills.

Feedback from Larmenier & Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School |
We chose to purchase an ICAS Quiet Office cabinet for two reasons: We were cooling our servers by air conditioning the entire server room (rather than only the server cabinet) which was inefficient, and indeed unecessarily increased the carbon footprint of the school. Furthermore, with space at a premium, we needed the server room to be a work environment for technical staff but the noise emanating from the servers made that impossible. The ICAS Quiet Office addresses both problems, and whilst it has required an initial investment from the school, we hope to break even within three to four years thanks to the saving in electricity costs gained by only needing to use the air conditioning on very hot days (which are few and far between during an English summer!). We chose to replace a grey 42U cabinet with a more compact 24U cabinet. That, combined with the light, maple finish which bounces much more light back into the server room, has also had the unforeseen advantage of making it a much brighter working environment! About Our Cooling Solutions |
Despite advances in cooling technology, many server rooms are operating inefficiently. As businesses move much of their computing power to the cloud, computer rooms are increasingly likely to be over-specified in terms of space and the capability of the CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) unit. Our cooling solutions provide a simple and efficient way of removing the heat from rackmounted equipment in server rooms and offices. All our air-cooled solutions have low power draw and, unlike the vast majority of CRAC units, they can be powered by existing UPS's with sufficient capacity, guaranteeing additional resilience in the event of a power outage. Our water-cooled solutions offer N+1 and N+N resiliance configurations, plus the option of award winning, patented Leak-Proof Technology. |
